1. Overview

1.1 Main application and range

KTC197.1 Mainframe of Mining Explosion Proof and Intrinsic Safety Type Communication Control Device is designed according to the requirements of the National Coal Mine Safety Regulations and related documents

This product is used for the place under coal mine with coal dust and methane explosive gas, and is used as a comprehensive control and protection for belt conveyor, and also can be used as a control and protection between fully mechanized mining face and scraper conveyor, it has the functions of communication, control, comprehensive protection, communication along the line, fault detection, text display and voice alarm for fully mechanized mining face and belt conveyor, so that to realize unattended of the underground coal mine transportation system and controlled centrally on the ground. It can also realize the centralized control system of the ground coal washing plant and so on.

1.2 Main features

1.2.1 Composition

KTC197.1 Mainframe of Mining Explosion Proof and Intrinsic Safety Type Communication Control Device is composed of the following two parts:

a) Explosion Proof Control Box of Mining Explosion Proof and Intrinsic Safety Type Communication Control Device.

b) Intrinsic Safety Wiring Box of Mining Explosion Proof and Intrinsic Safety Type Communication Control Device.

1.2.2 Main features

a) The mainframe is developed using universal PLC (Delta DVP-12SA2) and multiple modules which has the advantages of advanced performance, low power consumption, good safety, simple circuit structure and high reliability etc. Intelligent program, simple implementation, which can quickly meet different scene and different user requirements, it has strong adaptability.

b) The control software adopts componentized and intelligent design, which has perfect control function of protection process and various operation modes.

c) It has the function of industrial Ethernet communication, users can remotely monitor the real-time running state of the whole conveying line through the upper computer.

d) It has the function of positioning by sensors. When the emergency stop, deviation sensor and tear up sensor takes action, it can display the fault position and have the function of language location alarm, which makes it more convenient and quick to find the fault.

e) There are three control modes: single machine, centralized and random, and users can choose the control mode by setting.

f) It has the function of front emergency stop and locking.

g) The display adopts 10-inch color LCD screen, which can display all kinds of running state and running parameters of conveyor.

h) Mainframe has different external interface, 16DI (intrinsically safe), 12DO (non-intrinsically safe), 3AI (intrinsically safe), 3AO (non-intrinsically safe), two route of RS485 (intrinsically safe), one route of 232 (intrinsically safe), one route of CAN (intrinsically safe).

1.2.3 Main functions

a) Under the centralized control mode, the conveyor starts in turn against the coal flow after starting pre-warning, when the conveyor need to be stop, it could stop immediately or delay.

b) Under the random control mode, the conveyor starts along with the coal flow, the start is random, thus the whole conveyor are starting automatically after having coal pre-warning, or stop delay automatically without coal. It can reduce the operation without load in max for energy saving purpose.

c) The mainframe cooperate with all kinds of sensors to complete the protection functions of coal position in coal bunker, coal position under the head, skid and low speed, broken belt, overspeed, deviation, tear up, temperature, smoke, and emergency stop along the conveyor.

d) The speech circuit has the functions of intercom, doting, and the voice of the speech is clear and loud. Even after the control box is power off, the speech circuit could work with power supply by internal lithium battery, lasting more than 0.5 hours.

e) The intrinsic safe power module in the mainframe can provide remote I/O station with intrinsic safe power.

f) The remote I/O station transmits the sensor signal to the mainframe through the RS485 communication bus to cooperate with the mainframe for the purpose of positioning by sensors.

g) Communication between each mainframe through CAN bus, which has the advantages of fast communication speed and no external interference.

b) Ambient temperature within 0~+40.

c) Relative humidity not over 95% (25).

d) The place under mine with coal dust and methane explosive gas.

e) The place without heavy vibrations or bumps.

f) The place without corrosive gas which could damage metal and insulation.

g) The place without water infiltrating.

h) Installation type: I type.

i) Pollution grade: 3.

j) Voltage fluctuation range: 75%~110%Ue.

3.3.8 Max transmission distance

3.4 Power supply circuit

The AC 127V power supply is converted into DC power supply after reducing voltage, rectifying and filtering through switching power supply, outputting DC 18V and 12V as a intrinsic safe power supply for other intrinsic safe circuit after voltage stabilization and current limiting. 18V voltage is used as a power supply for remote audio communication and language alarm modules, and 12V voltage is used as a power supply for the sensor.

3.5 Working duty: uninterrupted duty.

3.6 Structure features

The mainframe is composed of explosion-proof control box and intrinsically safe wiring box. The explosion-proof control box is equipped with 18 V, 12V intrinsically safe power supply module, DVP-12SA2PLC main control module, expansion module, optocoupler board, relay board, key plate, display screen, etc. The intrinsically safe wiring box is equipped with audio communication modules, loudspeakers, microphones, buttons, wiring terminals, etc.

The explosion-proof control box and the intrinsically safe wiring box of the mainframe adopt the mode of cable inlet from backward, the explosion-proof control box adopts the cable inlet through connection joint , the intrinsically safe wiring box adopts cable inlet mode of the aviation plug and the waterproof joint .
